Here we will show you two different procedures you can use to calculate the cube root of 4 divided by the cube root of 10. In other words, we will show you how to calculate ∛4 ÷ ∛10 two different ways.
Procedure 1
This may be the most obvious procedure, where you first calculate the cube root of each number, and then divide the result, like this:
∛4 ≈ 1.5874
∛10 ≈ 2.1544
1.5874 ÷ 2.1544 ≈ 0.7368
∛4 ÷ ∛10 ≈ 0.7368
Procedure 2
This procedure may be the fastest. Since ∛4 ÷ ∛10 is the same as ∛(34/56), you can first divide the numbers, and then find the cube root of the quotient, like this:
4 ÷ 10 = 0.4
∛0.4 ≈ 0.7368
∛4 ÷ ∛10 ≈ 0.7368
