Procedure 2
This procedure may be the fastest. Since ∛8 ÷ ∛12 is the same as ∛(34/56), you can first divide the numbers, and then find the cube root of the quotient, like this:
8 ÷ 12 ≈ 0.666667
∛0.666667 ≈ 0.8736
∛8 ÷ ∛12 ≈ 0.8736
