Procedure 2
This procedure may be the fastest. Since ∛7 ÷ ∛40 is the same as ∛(34/56), you can first divide the numbers, and then find the cube root of the quotient, like this:
7 ÷ 40 = 0.175
∛0.175 ≈ 0.5593
∛7 ÷ ∛40 ≈ 0.5593
