Here we will show you two different procedures you can use to calculate the cube root of 7 divided by the cube root of 27. In other words, we will show you how to calculate ∛7 ÷ ∛27 two different ways.
Procedure 1
This may be the most obvious procedure, where you first calculate the cube root of each number, and then divide the result, like this:
∛7 ≈ 1.9129
∛27 = 3
1.9129 ÷ 3 ≈ 0.6376
∛7 ÷ ∛27 ≈ 0.6376
Procedure 2
This procedure may be the fastest. Since ∛7 ÷ ∛27 is the same as ∛(34/56), you can first divide the numbers, and then find the cube root of the quotient, like this:
7 ÷ 27 ≈ 0.259259
∛0.259259 ≈ 0.6376
∛7 ÷ ∛27 ≈ 0.6376
