Here we will show you two different procedures you can use to calculate the cube root of 7 divided by the cube root of 1. In other words, we will show you how to calculate ∛7 ÷ ∛1 two different ways.
Procedure 1
This may be the most obvious procedure, where you first calculate the cube root of each number, and then divide the result, like this:
∛7 ≈ 1.9129
∛1 = 1
1.9129 ÷ 1 = 1.9129
∛7 ÷ ∛1 = 1.9129
Procedure 2
This procedure may be the fastest. Since ∛7 ÷ ∛1 is the same as ∛(34/56), you can first divide the numbers, and then find the cube root of the quotient, like this:
7 ÷ 1 = 7
∛7 = 1.9129
∛7 ÷ ∛1 = 1.9129
