Here we will show you two different procedures you can use to calculate the cube root of 6 divided by the cube root of 3. In other words, we will show you how to calculate ∛6 ÷ ∛3 two different ways.
Procedure 1
This may be the most obvious procedure, where you first calculate the cube root of each number, and then divide the result, like this:
∛6 ≈ 1.8171
∛3 ≈ 1.4422
1.8171 ÷ 1.4422 ≈ 1.2600
∛6 ÷ ∛3 ≈ 1.2600
Procedure 2
This procedure may be the fastest. Since ∛6 ÷ ∛3 is the same as ∛(34/56), you can first divide the numbers, and then find the cube root of the quotient, like this:
6 ÷ 3 = 2
∛2 ≈ 1.2600
∛6 ÷ ∛3 ≈ 1.2600
