Here we will show you two different procedures you can use to calculate the cube root of 6 divided by the cube root of 25. In other words, we will show you how to calculate ∛6 ÷ ∛25 two different ways.
Procedure 1
This may be the most obvious procedure, where you first calculate the cube root of each number, and then divide the result, like this:
∛6 ≈ 1.8171
∛25 ≈ 2.924
1.8171 ÷ 2.924 ≈ 0.6214
∛6 ÷ ∛25 ≈ 0.6214
Procedure 2
This procedure may be the fastest. Since ∛6 ÷ ∛25 is the same as ∛(34/56), you can first divide the numbers, and then find the cube root of the quotient, like this:
6 ÷ 25 = 0.24
∛0.24 ≈ 0.6214
∛6 ÷ ∛25 ≈ 0.6214
