Here we will show you two different procedures you can use to calculate the cube root of 4 divided by the cube root of 6. In other words, we will show you how to calculate ∛4 ÷ ∛6 two different ways.
Procedure 1
This may be the most obvious procedure, where you first calculate the cube root of each number, and then divide the result, like this:
∛4 ≈ 1.5874
∛6 ≈ 1.8171
1.5874 ÷ 1.8171 ≈ 0.8736
∛4 ÷ ∛6 ≈ 0.8736
Procedure 2
This procedure may be the fastest. Since ∛4 ÷ ∛6 is the same as ∛(34/56), you can first divide the numbers, and then find the cube root of the quotient, like this:
4 ÷ 6 ≈ 0.666667
∛0.666667 ≈ 0.8736
∛4 ÷ ∛6 ≈ 0.8736
