Here we will show you two different procedures you can use to calculate the cube root of 4 divided by the cube root of 15. In other words, we will show you how to calculate ∛4 ÷ ∛15 two different ways.
Procedure 1
This may be the most obvious procedure, where you first calculate the cube root of each number, and then divide the result, like this:
∛4 ≈ 1.5874
∛15 ≈ 2.4662
1.5874 ÷ 2.4662 ≈ 0.6437
∛4 ÷ ∛15 ≈ 0.6437
Procedure 2
This procedure may be the fastest. Since ∛4 ÷ ∛15 is the same as ∛(34/56), you can first divide the numbers, and then find the cube root of the quotient, like this:
4 ÷ 15 ≈ 0.266667
∛0.266667 ≈ 0.6437
∛4 ÷ ∛15 ≈ 0.6437
