Here we will show you two different procedures you can use to calculate the cube root of 3 divided by the cube root of 9. In other words, we will show you how to calculate ∛3 ÷ ∛9 two different ways.
Procedure 1
This may be the most obvious procedure, where you first calculate the cube root of each number, and then divide the result, like this:
∛3 ≈ 1.4422
∛9 ≈ 2.0801
1.4422 ÷ 2.0801 ≈ 0.6933
∛3 ÷ ∛9 ≈ 0.6933
Procedure 2
This procedure may be the fastest. Since ∛3 ÷ ∛9 is the same as ∛(34/56), you can first divide the numbers, and then find the cube root of the quotient, like this:
3 ÷ 9 ≈ 0.333333
∛0.333333 ≈ 0.6933
∛3 ÷ ∛9 ≈ 0.6933
