Here we will show you two different procedures you can use to calculate the cube root of 3 divided by the cube root of 6. In other words, we will show you how to calculate ∛3 ÷ ∛6 two different ways.
Procedure 1
This may be the most obvious procedure, where you first calculate the cube root of each number, and then divide the result, like this:
∛3 ≈ 1.4422
∛6 ≈ 1.8171
1.4422 ÷ 1.8171 ≈ 0.7937
∛3 ÷ ∛6 ≈ 0.7937
Procedure 2
This procedure may be the fastest. Since ∛3 ÷ ∛6 is the same as ∛(34/56), you can first divide the numbers, and then find the cube root of the quotient, like this:
3 ÷ 6 = 0.5
∛0.5 ≈ 0.7937
∛3 ÷ ∛6 ≈ 0.7937
