Here we will show you two different procedures you can use to calculate the cube root of 3 divided by the cube root of 2. In other words, we will show you how to calculate ∛3 ÷ ∛2 two different ways.
Procedure 1
This may be the most obvious procedure, where you first calculate the cube root of each number, and then divide the result, like this:
∛3 ≈ 1.4422
∛2 ≈ 1.2599
1.4422 ÷ 1.2599 ≈ 1.1447
∛3 ÷ ∛2 ≈ 1.1447
Procedure 2
This procedure may be the fastest. Since ∛3 ÷ ∛2 is the same as ∛(34/56), you can first divide the numbers, and then find the cube root of the quotient, like this:
3 ÷ 2 = 1.5
∛1.5 ≈ 1.1447
∛3 ÷ ∛2 ≈ 1.1447
